BF4 Freezing Or Crashing on PC

all the time im playing BF4 my PC crashing or freezing after like 5 minutes.. i tried almost everything i belive UNinstall and Insatall again , repair game , update PB and all my drivers even install windows again.. nothing helped..

when im freezing i cant do anything and i must restart my computer 0CTRL + ALT + DELETE) not working too when freezing..

or im getting this error:

Here are some useful steps for you-

End Background Task:
1. Hold down the Ctrl, Alt, and Delete keys at the same time and select task manager.
2. Click the "Processes" tab.
3. Click on the gray bar in the middle column that says User Name to sort by user name.
4. Do NOT select anything for SYSTEM, LOCAL SERVICE, or NETWORK SERVICE.
5. Click on anything besides EXPLORER and TASKMGR for this User Name or other user names.
6. Click on END PROCESS
7. Repeat these steps until only explorer.exe and taskmgr.exe are open for this user profile.

Delete Temporary Folder:
1. Double click on "My Computer"
2. Double click on the C: drive
3. Double click on the "Windows" folder.
4. Double click on the "Temp" folder.
5. Hold the "CTRL" key and tap the "A" key to select all.
6. Tap the "Delete" key on your keyboard and accept the "Are you sure you want to delete these files" prompt.
Press the windows key+R and then type " %temp% '' and then delete everything from there as well.

Origin clear cache
1. Clcik on origin menu.
2. Select Applicaton setting from the menu.
3. Select Advance setting
4. Click “Delete all game installer tab.”

Disabling UAC in Windows 7
1. Click on Start
2. Click on Control Panel
3. Click on the "View By" option and select the Icon view (large or small options give the same information)
4. Select User Accounts (it should open into the account of the user who is currently logged in)
5. Click on the bottom-most option, which will be "Change User Account Control Settings"
6. Adjust the slider to the bottom-most option
7. Accept the changes
8. Restart the computer

Clean boot in Windows Vista/7:
I would suggest that you try running your system using the Windows clean boot option. That way you would be able to locate any program that might be interfering with the game.

Affinity:
· Customer needs to login to Origin (If it is a digital download)
· Run the task manager (Ctrl-alt-delete)
· Go to the "Process tab" in task manager
· Right click on Origin.exe
· You will get the option of "set affinity", click on it
· You wil get CPU 0, CPU 1, CPU 2 and CPU 3 options.
· You need to select CPU 1.
· Click on "Apply" and then "OK"
After this please launch the game from Origin.
Then you will be automatically redirected to Battlelog.
Click on "Multiplayer" on Battlelog
Browse all servers
Select any one server
You should be able to join the server. After joining the server select "Alt+ Enter" to run the game in full screen mode

Disable firewall and antivirus:

I would suggest that you try temporarily disabling any firewalls you have running on your system: - • Software firewalls can simply be turned off, usually by right clicking on the icons
near your clock and selecting "Close" or "Exit". • Hardware firewalls should be bypassed by going from the computer directly to your modem, skipping any router you may have.
Open Windows Firewall by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Security, and then clicking Windows Firewall.
Click Turn Windows Firewall on or off. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Click Off (not recommended), and then click OK.

Allow a program to communicate through Windows Firewall
1. Open Windows Firewall by clicking the Start button
, clicking Control Panel, clicking Security, and then clicking Windows Firewall.
2. In the left pane, click Allow a program through Windows Firewall.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3. Select the check box next to the program you want to allow, and then click OK.

UPNP :

-Click on the windows logo/start button
-In the searchbar, type services.msc
-Press ENTER
-A list of services should now be in front of you.
-Cli"

Didnt work too after all this - any help please??

I've got the "bf4.exe has stopped working" problem again, like monthes ago. I did not changes on my system. I think it's related to the last patch (server patch).

All the other games run fine (DarkSouls 2, Assassin's creed Black Flag, Battlefield 3, etc.)

I tried a lot of possible fixes:

Punkbuster reinstall and manual update.
Uninstalled/reinstalled battlelog web plugin.
Adding OC/Stock frequency/All default setting on BIOS.
Reset MB bios.
Updated MB Bios to the last version.
Tried Catalyst 13.12, 14.1,14.4 3
Run BF4.exe or bf4_x86.exe as Administrator.
x86 or x64 it's the same.
Tried Medium settings, High, Ultra and Low.
Tried AMD Game evolving app to optimize settings.
Performed a repair of the game from origin.
Uninstalled and reinstalled VC redist 2008/2010/2012.
Update .net Framework.
Uninstalled Antivirus (BitDefender Total security)
Update all drivers (MB last intel chipset_inf, Audio Via drivers, Network Card drivers)
Disabled HDMI Ati audio driver
Tried lowering audio quality to headphones and on Windows to 44100 Cd quality (the lowest)
Tried to add voltage on my stock never overclocked Ati Sapphire 7970 Dual-X.
Update firmware on my SSD hard drives.
Tried to delete user.cfg.

Hi LichiLax,

I do have the same issue like you.
But I can even not get into the game!

My PC freezes as soon, as BF4 loaded the map.
As soon as I come to the map, where I can choose a sporn point "Soundloop + Freeze" I need to restart my PC with the restart button.

Also I tried nearly every suggestion from many forums.

What the hell ....

yea its happening to me sometimes too..
and need to restart with the button too..
idk why it happends my system is really great for the game ..
the game broken or something but idk how alot of ppl dont have this issue..

My hardware is also absolutely top for that game!
I cannot imagine that this issues occur due to our hardware.
I tried today two times to contact EA support.
I entered into two supporter chats, and ask them for assistent for that problem.
Both said reainsalling the game, get newest graphics driver etc.
When I told them, that I already did that....nothing.
Chat showed: EA supporter is writing...but after several questions if they are still there...nothing.
EA supporter is writing, for 40min constantly...
They did not answer, because they don´t have any solution!!!!

I have the same problem after their latest server and battlelog update 28.04.2014.
A lot of people have this proplem, but you don't care?

LichiLax, I've read through your problem and you seem to have done a whole bunch of the usual things we ask people to do.

Did you try reverting to an earlier driver?

Always make sure that you do a clean install whever you update/revert to a driver version.

PS: most of the people on here are just regular gamers like yourself so please be patient.
