I was running into problems with punkbuster failing to initialize every time id try and play.
I opted to reinstall bf4.
Now when i try to install it i get the message "Failed to create punkbuster service" and some other message saying files already exist.
Before i reinstalled i tried all the usual methods with PBsetup and changing its properties via windows firewall.
Please someone have an answer to this, I'm completely desperate
I used to get the punkbuster errors that would kick me from the game.
I attempted all of the normal punkbuster fixes to do with windows firewall access and pbsetup but nothing worked.
So i tried reinstalling battlefield 4.
Now when i go to install it after downloading it will say " Failed to create punkbuster service" and then tell me a file already exists.
I really want to play the game and this has been going on for 2 weeks now.
Please help me out im desperate.
Do you have a firewall or security software suite that could be blocking it?

You might want to give Advanced Solution 1+2+5 a go while looking at the rest as well 🙂
What is the results when you clicked the test services button?
It's mentioned in the "help us help you" section of the guide I gave you..
And you said that you had given everything a go but clearly you havn't as Simple Solution 4 mentions services.msc
