BF4 Intel HD 4000 Problems

Im currently trying to play BF4 but there seems to be some problems with Polygons extending the enitire map and some maps with Textures not loading in. Any help would be greatly appreciated :D My specs are down below.

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3210M CPU @ 2.50GHz

 Memory (RAM) 6.00 GB

 Graphics Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 Gaming graphics 

1664 MB Total available graphics memory  

Primary hard disk 546GB Free (689GB Total)

Intel HD 4000:

Display adapter type Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000  

Total available graphics memory 1664 MB         

Dedicated graphics memory 32 MB         

Dedicated system memory 0 MB

DirectX version DirectX 11 or better

If there is anything else that needs to be posted please do inform me, thanks for your help :D

  • You shouldn't be able to run bf4 with that graphics card anyway, it is a laptop not meant for gaming that you have there. If I were you, though, I would try to update your graphics drivers, here. Just pick your OS from the drop-down list.

    The above critique is correct regarding the poor quality of an HD 4000.  However, there has through all the history of home computing, only been one single attempt by intel to produce and sell a discrete graphics card.  That was about 1997, I think, and a disaster;  awful piece of junk.  IGPs do not qualify as "cards".  A card is an entirely separate circuit board that plugs into a video bus slot in the mainboard.  IGPs are ride-along little ICs inside of larger chips. 

  • Right, thanks for clearing that up! The new Iris Pro 5200's seem fairly okay for built-in graphics processors, though.

    Im using Windows 8 64bit currently, with the unstability of 8.1 I'm not sure I should upgrade. 

    Also there are discolorations within all the maps that I've played on.
