I have the exact same garphics card, dont have any issues with red screen and sound (driver version 13.152.1.8000) only thing i could think of would be to research what red screen is in google, unless its a windows 8 thing, yuck lol. but i would say the latest driveris always going to be the most stable, otherwise they wouldnt update.
I have got the same bug. Crashes everytime when server changes the map. Windows 8.1 and newest Radeon drivers.
