BF4-PC Animation Desync between client and server-unplayable

Well, I used to play BF4 fine, this was about a month ago. When I started playing again in the past few days, in every single game I play, my animations will rubberband. ie-
Sprinting after a kill all of a sudden I am running in place; as if my character is stuck on absolutely nothing and the server and my client cant figure out where I am. Mind you my ping is always lower than 40ms, my internet connection is 56mb/s. Here is my setup, I have videos to show if need be.
CPU: i5 4670k oc - 4.2ghz
RAM: 2133mhz 8gb
GPU: EVGA GTX 660 FTW/ACX cooler
Wifi: Netgear N600 WNDA3100 -Never had a problem before current patches
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium x64
I always run above 60fps even with HIgh~ultra. I tried putting everything to low -No difference. I tried turning on Network smoothing to 100% no difference. Tried turning Network Smoothing off - no difference. I tried port forwarding - no difference.
I am at a loss here, and this is yet again a bug that is making this game unplayable. I only experience this in BF4, none of my other games give me this problem. (Neverwinter, Planetside 2, Seven days to die, Just Cause 2 Multiplayer, Assassins Creed 4 Multiplayer.) If i cant fix this then I guess I just cant keep playing ☹️.

Just before this match i pinged the server in CMD, and I had 66ms ping, and 0% packet loss.

  • Yes turning it off solved the problem instantly. Turning it back on brought the problem back. This never used to happen with my older router (NetGear) but with my new Xfinity router it was so bad I could hardly play. I had tried different wireless adapters for my PC but it changed nothing. However trying my old router/or turning off UPnP fixed it.

You disabled UPnP on your router and the rubberbanding issue has stopped? Is this correct?

You may or may not be experiencing the same "rubberbanding" issue that we are experiencing on console. I will test this later today and see if it changes anything.

  • I tested turning off UPnP on my router and this had no effect on the rubberbanding on PS4. These appear to be different issues.
