So out of curiosity I decided to track usage throughout my play time this morning in hopes of finding a common theme. I would be interested to see what others find in this regard. Here is what I found:
EDIT: Adding specs from my prior post to save anyone who is interested from searching for them:
AMD Phenom IIX6 1090T Processor (3.2 Ghz)
Windows 8.1 64bit
8 GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 5700 Series card
Started with a fresh reboot around 8:45 AM this morning MST.

Joined a mostly full 48 player TDM server. Prior to joining memory usage was:
Non Paged Pool - 124 MB
Memory usage in Task Manager showed: 2.9/8.0 GB

Non Paged Pool - 140 MB
Memory usage in Task Manager showed: 3.6/8.0 GB

Everything appeared to be normal at this point. Game had played very smooth in every match. App appeared to properly release memory after I left.

Map: Flood Zone
Memory after joining was:
Non Paged Pool - 145 MB
Memory usage in Task Manager showed: 3.8/8.0 GB

During map change to Dawnbreaker Battlefield 4 crashed (Battlefield 4 has stopped working...etc). The app closed, I ensured that the BF4 process had ended and closed Battlelog. I reopened Battlelog and rejoined the server.

Memory usage at that time was:
Non Paged Pool - 148 MB
Memory usage in Task Manager showed: 4.1/8.0 GB

Non Paged Pool - 257 MB (note that this was about 100 MB higher than it had been most of the morning)

This is where things start to go sideways. After about 5 minutes of playing the map (I was driving around killing stuff in a Tank for the record), memory usage had climbed far more than it had at any point today. It was:
Non Paged Pool - 2.0 GB (note that this is the first time it had been higher than 257 MEGABYTES)
Memory usage in Task Manager showed: 6.3/8.0 GB
The game began to stutter. I was having difficulty getting the deploy command to register with mouse clicks so I spammed Enter to deploy. Deployed into an AA. Another couple of minutes go by and memory usage was:
Non Paged Pool - 5.0 GB (the non paged pool had more than doubled in a couple of minutes of play)
Memory usage in Task Manager showed: 7.8/8.0 GB
At this point I attempted to exit the game normally, I wanted to see whether any of this RAM was released when the app exits normally. It took several minutes of staring at a black screen for the .exe to close. While some memory was released, most of it was not. As of this writing memory usage shows as:
Non Paged Pool - 5.2 GB
Memory usage in Task Manager showed: 6.4/8.0 GB - My PC typically sits around 2.9/8.0 when idle.

I'm not sure if this issue is map/gametype specific or not but I can clearly see where the app appeared to be handling memory normally for a good portion of time. I suppose the crash also could have contributed to the issue but if that were the case I would have expected that the memory usage from the app would have stayed at the pre-crash level but it did not. I'm wondering, has anyone else tracked this information? I'm just thinking from a QA perspective and I know how helpful specific reproducable scenarios can be to a Dev team.
So this happened again today.
On what map does it happen for you guys? It happened only on the map Zavod for me so far (conquest large).
Edit: Nope, has nothing to do with the map...had it again right away on a different map.
