BF4, Steam, and Linux, it works except ping

So I play BF4 on Linux, bought the game though steam and use Valves Proton tool (steam play) so that Windows games can run on Linux. And so far as what I can tell it works flawlessly but there is one problem tough.

The ping number on the battlelog is just a "-" and some server are kicking me for it.

From what I can find on line, launching the game from your web browser seems be a fix for the problem, but BF4 dose not launch that way.

For non-Linux users, steam launches an mini-orgin client that then starts BF4 (and closes it when the game quits).

No web browsers or any of that such just strait to the game.

Any solution to fixing the problem (or any Linux users found a fix)?

Update 2: So I have not resolved the web issue, but the Ping issue in game is result of Wine (the component that proton uses to run Windows games on Linux) can not translate Ping commands to Linux, and ping enforcer cannot see it and will kick you for it. Some issues are supposedly with "setcap" permissions that are able to use "raw sockets" to establish ping commands. But I have tried a lot of options and most don't seem to work.

Himm, so the server browser is just showing a "-" as well in the web browser.

Now I will say I had just migrated from Console to PC so I'm use to using in game server browser.

But I an aware that BF4 dose not support Linux. However, steam dose have a compatibility tool called "Steam play" that uses a tool called proton (based of Wine, a program that runs windows programs on Linux as if it was native).

And from my experience, some server I can play on no problem, some kick me however.

But even in battle log in web browser, I still see a "-" on all the servers. I did some research on it and I guess that part of the problem is the router firewall and ICPM being part of the problem. But I play behind two (the ISP modem/router and a Netgear router) so they could be part of the problem as well.

I'm still looking into it however.
