BF4 won't install

I downloaded the game plus the DLCs but it won't even install for me. It says the install is finished but it won't launch from Origin nor from clicked the exe itself.

According to the log the install is aborted when this happens:

22:44:23  ERROR: Failed to copy D:\Origin\Battlefield 4\__Installer\Cleanup.exe to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\EAInstaller\Battlefield 4\Cleanup.exe.

The target directory is always made read-only and invisible. Unchecking these properties does nothing. Deleting the directory will just cause a new one to get recreated and it will again be read-only and invisible. I have started Origin normally and in admin mode.

I'm on Windows 8.1

The problem has been fixed now after an EAgent escalated it to the next support tier. I will repost here the instructions I was given in case anybody else runs into this issue.

    1. Uninstall Origin
    2. Delete the game folder in c:\program files (x86\origin games
    3. Find the licence folder in c:\programdata\electronic arts\ea services and delete it
    4. Delete the origin folders in c:\programdata c:\users\username\appdata\local and c:\users\username\appdata\roaming
    5. Use CCleaner to clean the registry and clear both cache and temp files
    6. Run DOS as admin and execute the commands "dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth" and "sfc scannow" then close the DOS box
    7. Install Origin
    8. Redownload BF4 and install it

What do you mean with "try disable/close software in a list"?

Still nothing.l By now I have also ran the Origin installer as admin, then Origin as admin. Also cleared my cache, temp files and cleaned my registry. Downloaded a different game through Origin that works right away. Every game on Steam will just install fine as well.

Changing the installation path is the first thing I did when I installed Origin.

I have no idea what you mean with the second part of your post. What does that do?

    EA_Archie,

I have tried most of the suggestions supplied for issues similar to mine, but the ORIGIN client does not even bother to display an error code. What are the chances you can point me in the right direction.

Looks like I will have to go back to either TF2 or Call of Dooty....
