BF6 CTE
Will there be a Community Test Environment for the upcoming Battlefield?
You know before a change goes live... jack things up and upsets the community. 😇👿

BF6 has not been announced so there's no information regarding any CTE but I guess that's not the point of this thread. This thread looks more like a request to include a CTE 😉
It might be an advisable request, while I also wonder what other players opinion about it is.
After the 6 month mess of broken patches that Battlefield 5 suffered from, I think it would be prudent to have a substantial live testing phase for Battlefield 6 updates.
- @ElliotLH That was one issue. Don't forgot in BF1 and BF4 some video streamers only want to CTE to get what was new. Remember some of those video reports on new gadgets/weapons was not very fair, causing huge complaints for weeks after release into the game.
- @DingoKillr Yes I do remember that and it is a valid, decent point. A lot of people did indeed just use the CTE to play with new toys. I'd still like to see it come back still though as I did feel it was helpful overall.
@DingoKillrand @ElliotLH, this for me was the problem with PS's CTE. People went in to tryhard with the new toys and didn't strictly 'test' the changes.
Also, when it was restricted access, youtubers would whinge about proposed changes and/or new toys, their sycophants would join in and things were nerfed before they hit retail, often to the detriment of said 'thing'.
Remember the cries of woe about BF1's AA Rocket Gun? Ended up being a much use as women's bits on a fish!I hope it does cause DICE cannot QA these games on their own anymore
