Bipod wont deploy

Since about this time last year when a patch was released, I believe around 3/27/2012 - my bipod was rendered useless.  Since that patch I can not deploy unless I get super lucky, even then once I move it will not redeploy.  

I am not moving, I am at a deployable position, and I have bipod equipt.  My bf3 ps3 friends have visited my home and have had the same issues, but then are okay on their system.  I have uninstall bf3 twice including all expansions and redownloaded all twice.  I hope someone can tell me what I need to do or delete in order to get the bipid working

And fyi, bipod users dont = campers!  i use it on my medic class, when it worked, it was great at laying down suppressive fire and long range shots.. now that it is glitchy I never use it and am left using the foregrip which in some situations is not what i want to be using
