Black screen

This is definately a region issue that happens if you bought one of the cheap russian keys that were not intended to be sold or used outside of russia. We have threads like this popping up at EVERY patch that DICE releases and it's always the same issue. Contact your retail store for more information on how to patch your game the right way.

Step 1 : Download the 4th September Patch Fix - http://www.uploadmb.com/dw.php?id=1346844262 [uploadmb.com] 
Step 2 : Unrar the archive,inside you will find 2 folders. 
Step 3 : Copy the files from the 4th september patch fix folder (the .dll's and the update folder) 
into your Battlefield 3 directory (Program Files > Origin Games > Battlefield 3) 
Step 4 : When it asks you if you want to replace the current files,say yes to all of them. 
Step 5 : Go back to the unrar'd folder and open up the BF3 Language Changer (as administrator). 
Click EN (English) and click the activation button.The program will modify your registry so it would change itself to the EN.DLL's of the game. 
Step 6 : You are ready to go,full game in english,with no internal bugs.
