Brand new, unused copy of Battlefield 2, EA support won't add to my library

Hi I'm wondering if an EA community manager can help me with this.

I bought a new sealed copy of Battlefield 2 Complete collection, I found it quite cheap online.

I understand that Battlefield 2's CD keys aren't redeemable on Origin/EA App, I've read forums posts here and reddit posts about contacting EA support, you show them your CD, with the box and the CD keys and they would add the a digital version of the game to your EA app library.

I've contacted them twice now asking them if they could do this, they say every time that the keys are not valid. Which we all know is correct. The CD keys don't work on the EA app because it an extremely old game and Origin/EA App didn't even exist then. But I've proven I have a genuine copy of the game and valid CD keys since they've never actually been used.

Can a community manager assist me with this?

    Hi! 

    I'm in need of getting in contact with support for battlefield 2. I have a CDKEY and im using BF2Hub, but everytime i try to join a multiplayer game, i get disconected almost insta. And in BF2Hub, it says that my CDKEY isnt active or whatever, cant remember tbh. Is there anyone of you here who could proby help me setting it up so I can play multiplayer games like back in the days when BF2 came out, From what i have heard, you can play BF2 online just like back when it came out, by unlocking weps/ribbons ect. And thats the playstyle of BF2 i wanna play again.

    Unfortunately this response from support was what I was thinking the issue was likely to be when I read your first post. It may just not be possible any longer as they don’t have their tools for Battlefield 2 now that it's no longer supported.

    Update:
    I spoke to support again in hopes of a different answer, which I did get, just not what I had hoped for.

    Battlefield 2 is a sunset game and the EA support advisor told me, it's actually impossible to add the game digitally to my EA library, he was willing to do so but since it was impossible it couldn't be done.

    If a community manager has any experience with this or can forward a request up to get sunset games re-added, or re-added through support tickets that would be fantastic.
