Well, even before playing, today the assignment suddenly appeared in my Soldier Stats. Either I completely missed the award in game, and the update on the stats was pretty delayed, or it was something else. In any case, thanks for the help!
Thats good to hear. You may have either missed the pop-up, or sometimes the Battle Reports take some time to sync with Battlelog and you wont receive awards, etc until the sync happens.
