Could you please take a screenshot of this 'black screen'?
When my Battlefield 4 got stuck in the first loading screen (The loading screen which has a square flashing white/black.), this is what fixed the issue.
1° Updating graphics driver
2° Reinstalling DirectX from BF4's folder
3° Repairing BF4 and DLCs
4° Moving 'Battlefield 4' folder from Documents to Desktop. (Try this, then launch the game and check if it works, if not return the folder back to its place.)
5° Uninstalling & reinstalling Origin.
6° Running CCleaner or similar applications, here is a how to: How to use CCleaner to fix PC issues (EA)
7° Running the computer with a clean boot. Here is another how to, from Origin: How to clean boot your PC (EA)
8° Setting both BF4 & Origin to launch with administrator rights.
If your game still won't launch, post here again and somebody can give you more tips 😉
Thanks for reading.
