If you both have the same issue:

    • Please make sure your mouse and keyboard have their drivers updated
    • Make sure no macro's etc are running on gaming hardware
    • Remove any unnecessary USB devices from your system before booting your computer
    • Clear all the PROFSAVE files from your Documents/Battlefield 4/Settings folder -- you're settings will be restored to their default
    • Try changing the keybinding for Fire to another button to test
    • If not resolved, try a clean boot

    Hi folks, regarding this problem:
    Battlefield 4 Campaign Bug
Campaign BAKU bug weapon will not fire.
In Campaign, got to first room but weapon will not fire.
I tried various things to try to isolate this problem including reloading battlefield 4 on another disk drive but the problem still persist. In addition I changed the mouse to a wireless mouse. Again, the problem still persists. I went to a different part of the battlefield 4 campaign program. There I noticed again that the gun would not fire and also the knife would not function.
After trying many things I finally found the solution. I have a Saitek X52 connected to my computer that I use in a Microsoft flight simulator program. There is a mouse controller as part of this hardware. When I disconnect the Saitek X52 from the computer the problem that I was encountering with Battlefield 4 no longer exists.
I don't know yet what the root cause is. Is it that Battlefield 4 will not tolerate the connection of a second mouse or is it possible that Saitek has changed their driver so that is not compatible with Battlefield 4? Prior to December 2015 there seemed not to be a compatibility problem. In December I purchased X Plane and change the driver for the Saitek X52 which may have caused the compatibility problem or it may have been caused by updates of Battlefield 4. I would appreciate any feedback from EA as to whether they have tested their software under the conditions of two mouse attachment or a Saitek X52 attachment.
