Can I Use Origin Without Web Access?

First, I asked this question when I started this account just under one week ago. I apologize if it was already answered, but my search for my own name couldn't find the last topic. 

I opened an Origin account last week on my parent' s computer (with their permission, of course) but I want to play the games on my own computer which does not have web access. Can this be done? If so, how? 

PS: Please email the answer to my email account [edit: email address removed] instead of or in addition to answering it on the Answers HQ, as my last question somehow disappeared or I can't find it. I did check the subscribe to Replies box when making the last one. I don't know if the question never was answered or whatever else could have happened.

    As for your issue, you need to install the games with an internet connection, then swap Origin to Offline mode, and you shouldn't have further issues. If your system is portable/a laptop you can just bring it to somewhere with active wifi and download everything. 

    If you have a desktop/a non-mobile system, you can make backups of the games from your parents' system, then transfer these to your home system. Then you could try setting up a mobile hotspot to get a temporary connection. With this connection, log into Origin and the games should install/perform the license/ownership check. Once this completes you can click the top left of the Origin client, then choose "Go offline"

    Thanks for your reply, in particular since either this time the 'subscribe' button worked or you somehow pinged my email to let me know you answered. I was a CIS major, but that was 15 years ago, and what changes faster than computer technology? 

    I didn't quite the answer I wanted, but it's better to get an honest slightly unpleasant answer than pleasant bull hooey. More importantly, while my home computer is a desktop, it will just take a little coordinating on my part to bring it to another building that's part of where I live (a Board & Lodge, which is a step up from a homeless shelter) that does have web access, so if my short term memory holds up (which is why I'm disabled), I can fix that in a week or two.  The Offline option is an important thing to know for my situation; thanks for letting me know how to find that.

    This Origins seems like one great service! I'm in no situation to buy your products, but I'll let my old gaming buddies who aren't dirt poor to check this site out.
