I think it would be nice to bring back battlefield 2. In my opinion the best battlefield put out. No reason EA can't put in the same money making plans within games with skins and gear. But that system and the game as a whole was awesome. I know there's emulators out there and whatnot, but I'd pay for the subscription for battlefield 2 or some legitimate facsimile.

Sadly, the only way we'd be getting BF2 back would either be a remake simply called Battlefield 2 as the next game to try and recapture what made Battlefield = "Battlefield".
I doubt they would consider making modern servers for us to play and create on, because it would mean the player base of 2042 which is the last thing they need since it's starting to make some recovery. People may leave to play BF2 which is a game that doesn't have BPs, in-game store or other live service elements.
Again, either they remake BF2 as a new game with live service elements or simply move onto Battlefield Next or Bad Company 3.
they are lossing their way 20 years of bf .turned it into a mass produced garbage .a release 2043 and team talk never worked or joining a mate is impossible .
You would think u would take the core bits from all releases and make an epic classic,timeless .Vietnam with choppers and tunes them the days

@ShonenXIV you can still play BF2 despite GameSpy no longer existing. I still play BF2 a couple of times per year, you just have to download Game Ranger to replace the GameSpy functionality to find a server. This also works for BF1942 and BF2142. Be advised that it's rare to find a full servers like we could before GameSpy went down because most people have no idea that BF2 is still playable. Weekends are the best time to find populated games.
