Cannot access medical crate and no support has ever played this game to help

I cannot access the Medical Crate to equip it on my Medic. It just doesn't appear in the "Loadouts" section, and that is the only way to change it. First of all, one of the worst decisions ever was to have a key feature of the game (customizable loadouts) not be part of the game. Second, your next horrible decision and probably even worse, is that none of your support staff for the game have even played the game.

3 BF1 support representatives gave me the same answer: "Sir, it is true, we are EA, we manufacture this game, and we know how high your expectation unto us, prior to this query. To tell you honestly, our specialist just started playing the game, and I, myself, haven't tried it yet, but hopefully, I can try this one after my shift."

Come on, I paid $72 and you cannot even afford to hire support that has played the game? You could just give them free copies and have them play it for a few hours... How can you even be called a "specialist" when you don't know anything?

specialist:

noun
1.
a person who devotes himself or herself to one subject or to oneparticular branch of a subject or pursuit.

Right now neither the web browser nor the companion app (Android) have the option to add the Medical Crate to my loadout, or even purchase it for that matter. The companion app is utterly useless outside of what I can unlock, as it simply just resets my loadouts and never saves any of the changes that I make. So you removed a necessary feature out of the core game and replaced it with a non-functioning external app that just wastes time and is an annoyance even if it did work properly. I don't want to minimize BF1 every time to buy a new weapon.

Either way, can you please just unlock the Medical Crate for my account? I have the warbonds for whatever it may cost.

  • Step 1: Start game

    Step 2: Select "Multiplayer"

    Step 4: Skip Step 3

Step 5: During an online multiplayer game (of your choosing), select "MEDIC" class.

Step 6: Highlight and click on "CUSTOMIZE"

Step 7: Select GADGET 1 or, if you're feeling adventurous, select GADGET 2

Step 8: a) Highlight "MEDICAL CRATE" and take the time to consider that it will cost you 60 of your hard-earned War Bonds

Step 8: b) Decide that MEDICAL POUCH is the superior healing device and spend your hard-earned War Bonds on something else.

No need to thank me, I don't work at EA and I have played the game.

Loadouts will be available via the main menu once the game client is more stable.

Oh my god dude thank you so much for that! I spoke to yet another BF1 support rep who had no clue wtf the problem was and just had me waste an hour reinstalling Origin and other stuff even though I was adamant that none of that would work as it does not remotely address the specific problem. Man I can't thank you enough lol. I just couldn't find a single thing in searches anywhere- everyone kept telling me to use the Companion app.

  • The companion app has a known issue with resetting your loadout.

Give it a week or two, the game will get a patch or a few hotfixes. I came here to sort out my massive frame drop issue - and the occasional 100% CPU freeze I get. Both seem to have gone away by themselves.

    What a war.
