Cannot connect to an online game on Xbox One

I've had this game three weeks now and I just spend hour after hour trying to connect. I select Multilayer, then Quick Match, choose a game type (I try them all) and then press A. It goes into matchmaking then after a few seconds comes back with an "Error Information" box saying You have lost connection to the session.

I do connect to the odd game but it's rare.

I know next to nothing about IT but my NAT settings are "Open" and the Xbox One network tests says everything is fine. My 360 worked all day long on Battlefield 3 and now I feel like smashing the One and this bloody useless game

Please give something to try???

Got the same problem. Worked OK on Sunday but since then I get that message every time I try. Xbox One works fine with my other games but BF4 is so annoying. There is no acknowledgment from EA that there is a problem but clearly there is. Why do we have to pit up with it when they are not providing what they are supposed to have sold you?

  • I am trying to play the multiplayer, but it does not connect me to a server.  My internet is not a problem, but it says I lose connection to the session.  It has worked before, but for some reason it is just not working now.  Is there anything you might suggest for me to try and do.

i have just installed the latest patch on the xbox one for battlefield 4 and when i try to join a server it just says lost connection to the session it does not matter which game mode it is it will not join anything
  • I am suffering from the same problem I have premium to. It was working fine all week until today, I click the gamemode it says its searching and it just cancels so I have to do that about ten times and when it finnaly starts loading up a game it crashes I have tried joining in spectator and commander and it has not worked. Ea fix this and maybe stop advertising things to buy for the game and focus on fixing it first.

I have the same problem since the last update. Please fix this problem because it's start to be annoying to pay that amount of money for a game that don't work at all.

I have the same problem.  It's been a week now that I haven't been able to play this game.  I cannot connect to any online session in Conquest.  I haven't tried the others to be honest, but it's Conquest that I want to play.  Even when I try and filter the servers, no luck.  It just shows empty game rooms.  The ones where it does show, say, 46/64 players, it won't let me join as it's full - when it's not.

Battlefield 3 had loads of issues with connectivity and it seems DICE hasn't learned much from that!

£90 I've spent on the original game then the Premium upgrade, it's ridiculous.  I understand developers will always have issues but DICE's issues just feel amateurish.

Frustrating isn't the word. I have been trying to play Rush for 3 days back to back and I just can't get in a game. My NAT is Open, my broadband speed is 20 down 4 up. No other problems with Netlix or LoveFilm.

I try server browser and says I can't connect. I use 'Quick Match' and that never works. What is going on?

It's an absolute joke. We've paid serious money for this Xbox One and Battlefield 4 and I want an answer why I can't play it. EA - you need to respond.

We understand that many players are having difficulties connecting to multiplayer matches when playing on Xbox One.

We're investigating this issue and are actively working on a resolution.  In the mean time, keep trying to play and you should be able to jump in, while attempting connection troubleshooting steps could further help you get back in the game.

Unfortunatly, theres nothing wrong with my internet connection. My ports are open. And i have a 8.40 mbps download and 1.62 mbps upload with a 62 ping, according to the internet speed test.

I had no problem connecting to games on the xbox one until i installed the China Rising and Second Assualt expansion packs. Thats when this issue started for me.
  • I have been playing BF4 on Xbox One every day since I got it on Chirstmas. It worked great until 20 minutes ago when I got kicked from a game with the message "Lost connection to the session" and have not been able to connect since. My Xbox One says NAT is Open, and all tests say it is fully functional. Required ports are active along with UPnP. I use a wired connection with a 9ms ping, 30mbps DS and 5mbps US. It is odd because it was working before until literally 20 minutes ago. I have performed a full network hard-restart and hard-restarted the Xbox One. The problem is not me, my network, my ISP, or my Xbox, the problem is Battlefield and EA must address it because I can't do anything more to fix it.

    --------

    EDIT

I can play on Team Deathmatch but that is the only working mode.

    --------

    EDIT

Now it will "attempt" to join the game, where it actully shows the loading screen with the map name and images but it still disconnects before finishing loading the game.
