I'm trying the "Invalid CD key" fix for BF1942 by editing the registry, but the product key doesn't show up in the game details on origin
Hey Mate! Having the same problem here... tried contacting a EA advisor directly, he told me to reinstall the game, redownload it fully. Well I did that and nothing happened ^^. Love how sometimes, seems advisors know less than us... Tought he was gonna search in the system and provide me a fresh key, but no luck... Since the time I downloaded the game no key at all appeared. When we buy games at Origin they Email us with the verification and other burocratic information, they should do the same for BF1942, just so if follows the basic protocols, instead of screwing everything up just because the game is a Freeware license... Anyways, if anyone actually got a Sollution on finding the Product Key, please Administrators, you really should answer this, lots of people are having trouble with this game since it was launched... BTW my game didn't even started before I applied a Sollution found on a EA Forum posted by a common member, and still it crashed every time I ended a battle and clicked "Continue".
I'm Bumping this cause nothing I've tried so far worked OR COULD work if the advisor had done his job... E-mailed a game advisor, and he simply said to me that "As it's a freeware version there's no CD-Key avaliable", and when I FULLY EXPLAINED WHY it's necessary (seriously, I wrote one and a half page on the E-mail) for this game he just replied as follow:
"Thank you for contacting EA support, we thank you for the information and your preference for EA, we always try to provide our user with the best experience and you can help improving our services, "Link to poll on the customer's service", for now we CLOSED THIS CASE. To obtain more assistance please, contact EA Help."
WHAT? Seriously? After explaining the entire case and giving a possible sollution to the man (Which I needed a game advisor to work) he simply said to me that the case was closed? WHAT? Closed will be my account with EA if this keeps up like that. Seriously, I gave him the cake, all he had to do was to ice it up. So customers have to do all the job here on tech support as well? Your chance of redemption EA... Help to be helped.
