Can't go online BF1 PC

I cannot "go online" on BF1, I can still receive invites and see my friends list just fine, but whenever I try to go online, it loads and then does nothing. I am also forced to restart the tutorial every time I start BF1, as well as it showing my stats as reset.

  • Hello @Nepgear_Main,

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem:

    1. Check Server Status: Sometimes, the issue can be related to server outages or maintenance. Check the official EA or Battlefield Twitter accounts for any announcements.

    2. Internet Connection: Ensure your internet connection is stable. You can try restarting your router or using a wired connection if you're on Wi-Fi.

    3. Update the Game: Make sure Battlefield 1 is fully updated. Sometimes, older versions can lead to connectivity issues.

    4. Clear Cache: If you're on PC, try clearing the cache for Origin or the EA app. You can do this by closing the app, then deleting the cache files located in:

      • Origin: C:\ProgramData\Origin\cache
      • EA app: C:\Users[Your Username]\AppData\Local\EA\EA App\Cache
    5. Disable VPN/Proxy: If you're using a VPN or proxy, try disabling it, as it can sometimes interfere with game connections.

    6. Reinstall Game: If the problem persists, consider uninstalling and reinstalling Battlefield 1. This can help restore any missing files.

    7. Reset Game Settings: Sometimes, corrupted settings can cause issues. Look for a folder with the game settings in your Documents folder and try resetting or deleting it.

    8. Check Firewall/Antivirus: Ensure that your firewall or antivirus is not blocking Battlefield 1. You can add exceptions for the game and the launcher.

    9. Contact EA Support: If none of these steps work, reaching out to EA Support might be your best option for more tailored assistance.

Let me know if any of these suggestions help!

    Best regards,

  • I have already done all of the aforementioned steps, except the documents settings. I replaced one of my hard drives a few months back and it included my documents folder so I am not able to access it in any way. However the game has run successfully without said folder a few times but only started this problem recently.

    @Nepgear_Main,

Honestly, I don't have anything more to recommend except to reinstall your EA app. I have tried searching online for more troubleshooting steps, but there is nothing new I can find. Is your status set to "online" when entering the game?

I also have to tell you that if your progress is being restarted every time that only EA support can provide you with the assistance on that part.

    Best regards,

    danisoff

  • Thanks for the help, hopefully I'll find a way to fix it myself or EA will get back to me with the solution.
