Can't import emblems to BF1

I've recently got back into BF1. I went onto both the BF1 emblem companion as well as emblemsbf.com  I have tried "click to import" the emblem I wanted, and it goes to the bf companion page to "add ...

    The emblem editor and the way we transfer them has all been shut off for the time being and nobody really knows if/when it will make a return.

It would be nice if they told us this, instead of trying for hours to do this. Thinking I was doing something wrong...
