Can't Join any server on Bf3 (Ps3)

Hi guys,

Since 5 days now, I can't join any Bf3 server. When ever I click to join a server, it joins, does the loading and as soon as the loading is over, it disconnects and the error message is " You have lost connection to the session ".

Since the start of Bf3, Ive played this game with no prob at all. but suddenly, this comes up.. Im really frustrated and tired so please hellp me.

Things I've tried : EVERYTHING. But heres a list:

  1. delete and redownload Bf3.
  2. Check with wired connection (i normally use wifi) - no result
  3. enabled UPNP (previously it was disblaed) - no result
  4. open all Bf3 Ps3 ports (which werent open before but now are) - no result
  5. Contact EA Live chat (Soluton : escalated matter to superiors)
  6. Contacted Specialist department about my escalated case, they never answer the phone, and when they do, they can't hear a word i say i dont know why. (I use skype because calling USA would cost me a fortune waiting on a 40 minutes waiting period)
  7. Checked my own internet connection (its perfecctly stable 25MBPS download, 5 MBPS upload, 10~20 Ping)
  8. Contacted my ISP just incase theres a problem, they checked line and found nothing wrong.

So, sometimes, only the CQC (close Quarters) works.. SOMETIMES... like one game... Vanilla Maps Not a chance... Sometimes, the game joins in, last 10 seconds, and then again disconnects.

Please, PLEASE help me.

My Gamer tag on PSN : thereaper_799

P.S

All other games such as CoD and Killzone work perfectly fine online... EA/DICE admins, please answer me...

  • Hi there zgriimreaperz,

I got your message about your issue. I will do my best to solve this for you.

The " You have lost connection" error have been around for awhile now. Often it seems the problem fixed itself over time and, for some, the problem can stay for a longer period.

Anyway. The reason why you can't connect can be because you have a very low internet connection or that the game servers can be overloaded at the moment.

This can usually be fixed if you restart your internet router as well as your console, or if you try to open up some ports. All this have you already tried and still, the problem persists.

At this point, I would recommend you to take contact with a Game Advisor. But before we do that, please try this:

    • Try multiple different servers with different regions. (If the server owner have a bad connection, then that can affect your connection as well.)
    • Try to delete system cache and save for Battlefield 3. You can also try to delete the most recent multiplayer updates and install them again.
    • Make sure that your internet router is not overloaded or that too many using it at the same time. You can ask your ISP to speed up the connection or put your router under surveillance. In that way they can collect data and see if something is wrong.

    Please check and try this.

If the problem persists for more than 48 hours, please contact a Game Advisor here again. If you want, you can give them this thread and they can see what you have tried etc so far.

Hope you gets into the battle again really soon.

    - With kind regards,

      Timmie.
