Can't update/Install-Ps3

When I start battlefield 4, I was prompted for update 1.15. The update initially crashed, leaving corrupted data. I deleted the corrupted data along with game data as suggested from forums. Now, the update installs fine but since the game data was deleted, I have to reinstall the game itself directly after the update. This process never fails to freeze at 53%, and then backs out to the XMB. I have now done this several times over the course of a week, and the same result each time. I'm unable to play the game, it's frustrating. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I guess you have tried to reset your PlayStation 3 console:

    1. Turn off Playstation 3.

    2. Hold The power button down; The system will turn on and turn off once again.

    3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps

    4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.

    5. You will be prompted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the PS button

    6. The Recovery menu will pop up.

    7. Select Restore File System.

This will delete any corrupt files off of your system. It won't delete any game data.

Could you check if there is an firmware update for your console available and tell us the exact version of your PlayStation 3 console?

    Cheers
    Basti
