Combine Xbox and Playstation Player Pools?

I know it's probably just a dream, but it would be super nice for Dice or EA to combine the Xbox and PlayStation battlefield 1 players into the same server pool. There would be more opportunity for map and game mode variety with all the players in one pool. Also people could play with their friends on the opposite platform. There wouldn't necessarily be a need for a cross platform friends list and all that extra stuff since if people really wanted to, they would be able to join their friends using the server browser and server number. Having everyone in the same player pool would most importantly allow the game to continue to have a strong player base far into the future. I think this would build a lot of good will toward the battlefield brand which can only help future titles as well. This could all be said for Battlefield V as well of course.
