With people riding the Battlefield 2042 hype train and Amazon Prime giving BF4 away, I opened a 64-slot server in Singapore out of my pocket and within a few days, am under constant DDOS attacks.
My server provider, Fragnet, has indicated your chosen backend Blaze is vulnerable to DDOS attacks and as a result, their capability of mitigating DDOS attacks is limited.
What's happening now is there are malicious parties in China who rent servers in regions they do not live in, DDOS neighboring servers and lure players into their own server which is left standing.
If you join their QQ group 785055467, the group admins will pressure members into paying substantial amounts of money in order to enter their server whitelist. This is no different from gangsters who set competitors' venues on fire and making money out of their illegal actions.
Please do something about this. Kicking the can down the road down to the server providers hasn't worked since 2014, and will not work again.
I've been threatened also a couple years back, individual kept making up new accounts as I banned his other id's, he tried to hold my server as hostage if I didn't let certain friends of his become admins in my server. I told him to go to hell, and he kept crashing my server, i tried to report him to EA and PlayStation to no prevail.
even though I have more than ten of his fake accounts on my ban list, I still don't know until this day if he has new id's and coming into my server.
This has to stop and the only way to stop this behavior is if EA steps in and helps us get rid of this unwanted behavior.
It seems EA doesn't really care anymore they got our money, this discretion been going on for years now, not one year not two years but more then three/four years!
It started with the glitch where, when servers go empty they disappear from everyone's favorites or game menu and Server owners have to take time out of their lives to get the server started, how much of my own personal time have I spent babysitting the server to make sure it stays live, how many hours of my time have I spent doing this for the last three/four years!??
Ea only believes that their time is valuable and no one else's.
We rent our servers from EA!!!
EA charges my credit card for renting their server, when we rent servers, there's no specification on the contract that the servers are outsourced, as a matter of fact EA claims their the owners of the servers!
The run around EA tech support gave you Cyber about contacting the outside source, same thing been told to me years ago!! I can't believe they're still peddling the same bs for so many years!
All this bs started around the time BFV took a nose dive, that's how long we been putting up with this! Not a year nor months, but YEARS!!
December 2019 was my first initial post about Servers crashing and not letting us in! I have it recorded!
EA must do something about this problem. they are aware about this problme no ? It's impossible to play on ps4 servers. crashes every 20 mins. you can't even finish a round with 800 tickets.
@CyberDyme I wondered what was going on. First TitanFall 2 shut down by DDOS attacks. Now Battlefield 4. Way to go EA! Billion dollar company at work for the players!!
Although I may be punished for making such remarks, But I have to tell the truth as I know about what's happening in Asia.
Starting from 2015, All DDoS attacks against Battlefield 4 and all its data center IPs originate from China, This is a fact that all server providers can confirm.
As I mentioned many times, Chinese people make money through VIP of BF4 server, The basic price is approximately from 10 RMB to 150 RMB per month.
Because of this, there are always people who want to monopolize this market, So someone learned how to launch a DDoS attack.
At the same time, because Battlelog leaks IP information, no one can block the attack, Even if you change the IP address and port
DDoS attacker can still check the latest IP information in Battlelog, That's why all the servers in this screenshot disappeared.
What I want to say is when the Chinese successfully wiped out the Asia region, Even if these criminals want to play Battlefield 4, they can't join servers in other regions normally.
Therefore, it can be confirmed that all servers in North America and Europe are also the targets of their DDoS attacks, I wish I could understand that China has never been a free market friendly country.
This has nothing to do with racial hatred or politics, On the contrary, this is also an excuse for the Chinese to use political and racial hatred to launch DDoS attacks.
The results I have confirmed with all server providers, Everyone cannot get fair judicial assistance in China, or even start a judicial investigation, Even if all of them can learn the real IP address that launched the attack.
Not to mention that many Chinese server owners have tried to file reports with the Chinese police in China, Also because of China's political stance, the Chinese police warned these server owners that Battlefield is an illegal game in China, and if you report it, you yourself will be punished.
After all these years, everyone is hurting now, It is not just Asia that has suffered monetary losses. North America and Europe are also affected.
If EA is unwilling to deal with the racial hatred and crime issues from China, I think it would be ideal to simply stop the global multiplayer of Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4.
Because now only the servers of Chinese DDoS attackers are functioning properly, Asian server owners, including me, no longer dare to rent servers again.
Because we'll just end up with servers that no one will ever be able to play the game on, Even if the server software is not attacked by DDoS, there will be no Asian players playing the game.
So I wish EA would shut down the global multiplayer!
