Connect 2 PCs on the same LAN to Same BFH Server

Hello Guys !

I really need your help.

My brother and I are trying to play BFH and we are on the same LAN but different PCs, different origin accounts and different BFH copies.

So far we are not able to play at the same time on the same server. One of us will not be able to connect.

I spent 5 hours on Origin Chat help but that was no help.

They advised to use a network splitter. I don't know where to buy that and I am not sure how a splitter can solve my problem since I am using a switch to connect the pcs to the router. What can splitter do that a switch can't ??

They also advise to open all ports listed on portforward.com which I did not understand how it would help but I did nonetheless and it did not help at all. It just made it impossible for 1 of the PCs to connect even if the other is off.

I spoke to 5 advisors and then they blocked me from accessing help chat for the same case number.

It seems to me this is a situation that many would face and therefore Origin support would be able to handle. Not true.

I feel helpless and I wasted most of my weekend on this thing !!!

Would appreciate any real help I can get.

    @overdead666 In this house we have to do this one game PC is plugged into the router and the other game PC is plugged into the modem. If we do not do this we can knock each other off line when we join the same game. So in your case try one PC plugged into switch and one PC plugged into router,  I hope this is some help for you.

    Many Thanks Zorlacc for you reply.

    Unfortunately, the router is another floor so I would need to extend another cable to that floor.

    I am just surprised that in 2016 these kind of problems still exist and workarounds are soooo limited !!

    EA has been no help at all. Their agents have wasted several hours of my time and their time suggesting answers that show they have no clue how to start solving this !!

    so frustrating ..
