hello, so all weekend I've been told connection lost to EA servers and try again, only to get the same message. anyone else?

First, let us know what is your platform.
Second, since this topic was created 31/10/2016, then this connection issue can be solved after latest update for Battlefield 1 @Babyhuehnchen @Blackflare17
Try connecting with an ethernet cable, and you'll have better chances of good connection.
Also, please try repairing the game by right clicking on it in origin and pressing "repair game".
