Controller Issues PC

Hi, I'm having some controller issues that I can't find any solutions for.

1. Logitech G502 - Seems like every time I respawn or get out of a vehicle, BF1 overrides my saved profiles and loads the default. The lighting changes to pale yellow or blue and all my DPI settings go out the window. Sometimes I'm able to load my profile again by pressing the mouse button to do so, but often I'm not.

- So far I have tried disabling/enabling RAW MOUSE INPUT as well as unchecking the option to allow games to override RGB in the Logitech software. I have also tried PC or Onboard memory for profiles in the Logitech software. I have also deleted all profiles from the mouse so that there is just one profile with two DPI settings but it doesn't help anything, the profile is simply forgotton within a few minutes of gameplay. Nothing seems to stop the game from defaulting my mouse profile. It's making it pretty difficult to stay alive, especially if I spawn into active areas of the map.

2. Xbox 360 controller - Since my Saitek X52 isn't working in BF1 I'm using an xbox controller to fly planes. I spent a considerable amount of time adjusting the controller setup to find settings that made the xbox controller effective to fly planes but when I jump in a plane in Multiplayer, the the xbox controller seems to not load the controller profile even though the settings all appear as the do in Campaign mode - that is to say that none of the buttons seem to do anything and the joysticks have extremely poor response. So in campaign it's all working a treat but the same settings in multiplayer give me just enough control over the aircraft to allow me to bank steeply straight into the ground. It's like trying to fly a container ship.

Both of these issues are crippling my gameplay, does anyone know how to resolve either of these issues? Thanks very much.

  • Hey @thesicksicksicks

I am not sure if that would solve your issue, but I think it is worth a shot.

As all of your profile details are saved in Battlefield 1 Documents folder try to recreate it.

Best thing is to rename folder in Documents\Battlefield 1. Just add "old" or "backup" to the end of folder name. Than click "repair game" in origin. Than set up your mouse/controller profile. Run the game and check if it changes, or issue is solved.

As I said I am not sure if that would solve your issue, but it is worth a shot. If that won't be a solution for you remember to get back to your "old" files.

    Fingers crossed 🙂

@thesicksicksicks Do you have any other input devices plugged in when you experience these issues such as a Razer nostromo\orbeweaver or a joy stick?
