Controller works BUT the game wont show controller buttons

So im using a xbox controller on my PC to play Battlefield Hardline, no matter what i do i cant get controller buttons to show in game. All controls show up as PC buttons instead. Ive tried to enable...

Honestly every other single player game out there has no problem doing that on PC, this is the only game ive ever had that does that. I mean why cant they get on it and fix it, shouldnt be that hard...

I imagine that it isn't likely to be fixed because Hardline hasn't received updates for a very long time now, unfortunately.
