Crash, Crash and again Crash

Hi,

I recently redownloaded BF1 and since that moment game crashes a lot. It crashes at the end of the game, during the level loading or during spawn waiting. No messages of error, no windows, just close itself and back to desktop. Already updated videocard driver, already verified game files, already cleared Origin caches.

No hardware or system changes in last months, and before this new installation never experienced a crash.

My specs:

i7-3770k

16gb ram

Gtx 1070

No manual overclock, just the factory oc for vga and cpu (cpu factory overclocked to 4.2ghz because oem system, and never had problem with any game, neither this one).

Hope someone can help

Thanks!

  • Hey @ESGudjohnsen,

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue.

Have you tried the following steps?

    1. Clean Boot:

    https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

    2. Manually Uninstalling/Reinstalling Origin:

    https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/manually-uninstalling-origin/

    3. Make sure you have Origin In-Game Overlay turned off in Origin, and the Battlefield 1 Game Properties in Origin

    4. Uninstall/Reinstall Battlefield 1 (Do this last, if nothing else works)

Try these steps, and let us know if you still need assistance.

    Thanks 🙂

@ESGudjohnsen you have very similar specs to me but I rarely crash, which OS are you using Win 7, 8.1, or 10?

    Hi @iluminatethesky,

First of all, thank you for the answer.

Already using clean boot. But why i have to disable the overlay? Shouldnt be a safe and useful feature in game? I ask this before uninstall/install Origin or BF1, that id like to not do.

    Thanks
