Deleting Origin account

So can EA delete my Origin account and then I take it back with my new e-mail, because My old e-mail was deleted.

  • This is a public forum where users help other users. Thus we unfortunately cannot help with account or billing issues like this one. Instead I would suggest contacting an EA Advisor by going to https://help.ea.com/contact-us
    You will have to write some keywords about your problem, then fill out product, category and platform, press "Find Solutions" and then "I Still Need Help". Then your contact options will appear. If live chat/phone does not appear, it might be closed in your area at the moment and you might consider changing it to: "United States" or something else in the language selector in the bottom for a better result.

    Please accept solutions if they are correct and press the XP button if somebody helped you. This way you help others in the same situation.

    You lot need to start reviewing Origins recent security update Origin can no longer do Account ownership through the live chat function you now need to ring America to have this issue address I have been trying to resolve this issue for a while and because I refuse to spend that sort of money to ring over there my account will remian locked and my games are gone and there is nothing that can be done according to Origin https://help.ea.com/contact-us .

    So bud I would get use to the idea of losing your games and think very hard before you buy any more games linked to Origin if I where you there are lots of other cool games with lots of other companies

    Besides all the BF games are identical anyways it's a franchise made for the graphics junkies and nothing more.... I would much prefer good customer service than eye candy

    Please stop spreading false information allintime2013. Account ownership verification and updating your email address is still possible via live chat or phone. No changes were made to this process. 

    Your case particularly, since this is where the quoted text comes from, was handled as an entitlement transfer request from one account to another. This kind of request can only be handled by a seperate team that operates via phone. In addition, the quoted text also just states "not via email".

    I can understand if you were not happy with the way how your case was handled and I apologize for any inconvencience caused by it. However, given the facts and notes in your case the Game Advisor handled correctly. If your intention was a simple change to your email address, I don't know why it was not perceived as this by the Game Advisor, I guess there was some kind of misunderstanding. If you are still looking towards an update of your email address (and not a game transfer to another account), I would kindly ask you to contact a Game Advisor again, preferrably via live chat 🙂

    That was copied and psted from from something that was sent to me by Origin I didnt even type it just copied and pasted if Origin wants false information to be spread they should stop telling people What I was told all I did was pass on the Information Live chat gave to me

    Thankyou for your understanding in this matter..

    And you are right as I just stated in another post after spending money on a mic to phone America I was advised by the Game Speacialist there that this could have been done vis live chat...

    Can you please answer why there are Game Advisers that are telling Customers this to start with

    And this is just an email Change that I asked for I supplied 5 photo's Purchase Dates and Locations answered secret questions and this is the reply I got

    you: I dont understand how it is a game transfer I am deleting a email and repplacing it with another I do not want anything transfered I want the old email deleted from my old account and have the new one put in I do not want everything transfered to this account I want my old account back with the hotmail address attached to it how can I possibly steal a game if you do that
    you: look at its the accounts usage you will see its been idle for eons because of this issue
    Jonathan: That is also like a transfer. You have the games on the old account and you want to delete it which is needed to be done by the Game Specialist sir so that is why it is crucial to get in contact with them

    Jonathan: Sir the issue here is "Security" you want to change the email address that has the games which is the old account on which you no longer has access to and wants to use your main account on those games. Proof of purchases that you have will be a big help in resolving the case.. and let me tell you again that this kind of issue and request can only be done by a Game Specialist who are authorized to do this. We will only be the messenger and provide you information on what you need to do to make the issue resolved

    eadennis it would be great if you had some way to give feed back directly yourself in reagrds to this matter as to how I was being given the wrong information here is exactly what I was told on my closed ticket letting me know of the security update

    It might be the case that your situation was a bit different since you were basically asking for a transfer of your email address from account A to account B or it might just be a misunderstanding overall, it's hard to tell for me. Transfers are then handled by a different team that only operates via phone. 

    The text and the underlined sentence that was sent to you only covers email contacts, but it seems like they have send this text to you as well after your chat conversation. I can see where the confusion is coming from and I apologize again for this. 

    A simple email address update on a single account is possible via live chat or phone.
