Digital copy of Battlefield 4 from pS3 to PS4 works offline?

Just got my PS4 last night, upgraded latest firmware and purchased the Battlefield 4 digital upgrade from PS3 to PS4 for 9.99. Left my PS4 overnight on standby mode so it could download the game. After full download, my Internet connection at home have issues, so as of this moment I dont have internet access. When I tried launching the game, its telling me that its unable to launch because because I dont have internet access and it needs to verify the license. So my questions is... I cant play my BF4 copy on single player without internet? The game its already downloaded to my console.... And the PS3 disc is inside the unit.
