I've been searching the web trying to find help with this problem but everyone seems to have different solutions for it, and none of them have helped me so far.
About 5-20 minutes into to game it freezes and after a moment this error message shows up.
DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with
DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG: Device hung due to badly formed
commands.. GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti ", Driver: 32018
I've tried both upgrading and downgrading the drivers, the different versions do little or no difference.
People in most forums blame bad code in the game and a lot of people suggest increasing the voltage to the GPU. I haven't tried that yet since I don't know how.
Anyone have any other ideas or have had the same problem?
There are alot of people with the same issue above where the graphics become layered and pixilated (blue,green,red and purple ect),
please assist us as I have wasted money purchasing a new card and the problem is still present.
I managed to fix the problem disabling the "Antialising Deferred" option, all the other options are same as "Ultra" graphics configuration.
I'm using Nvidia Geforce GTX680 320.18 Drivers, Windows 8 64 bit.
