same problem here
screenshoots:
drives 13.1: http://puu.sh/4EQAK.png
drives 13.4 beta: http://puu.sh/4EQk9.png
i have
Radeon HD 4670 512mb
Win 7 ultimate x64
4Gb ram
I had the problem too with this direcx error.
I fixed it with these steps:
- Download and install the last Beta drivers:
http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalyst13-10WINBetaDriver.aspx Radeon 13.10 Beta Drivers
http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/nvidia-geforce-331-40-beta-drivers-released Geforce 331.40 Beta Drivers
- Download http://joshtatam.co.uk/battlefield%204/BF4%20settings.zip
- Go to the folder "My Dokuments/Battlefield 4/settings" and put these 4 files in there. When the folder *settings" doesnt exists, create them.
- Go to the BF4 folder, open "_installer/vc/vc2012update3/redist" and launch the "vcredist_x64.exe" and repair them.
- Restart your PC and try to join the server.

This looks like it might work. will have to try it when I get home.
I have tried damn well everything and I'm still getting the same damn results as OP.

I have spoken to an advisor and they told me to install 13.10 and do a clean boot, I've done that but my GFXcard wont let me install 13.10. I did a cleanboot on 13.4 and same issue. I even tried doing a system restore to before I installed BF4, and went through everything again, trying to install 13.10 which wouldn't work again, and then it stopped letting me install 13.4...So, I'm pretty much screwed atm until they fix the problem. They said they're trying to get it fixed before the exclusive beta ends, if not it should be fixed before the beta does end. But if I can't get it to work I might have to buy a new PC earlier.

If that's the case, I will consider for a refund.
