DirectX error

Hello,

Since the last patch my game dont work some times and i get this error message:

DirectX function '''Dx11Renderer::map'' failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED (''The video card has been physically removed from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occured.'') GPU: AMD Radeon R9 200 series Driver 17.3.3

(16.60.2911.1011-17036a-312242E-CrimsonReLive)

This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers. Also make sure you have a supported graphic card with at least 2GB.

Thats the error. Well i got the last driver version 17.4.1  and the card has 4GB.

So its weird why this error shows that i got driver 17.3.3???

please help me.

thx

The first thing that you'll want to do if delete the BF1 folder in your "My Documents" folder because that's where the video settings are. Then try to run BF1. If it runs you are good to go and simply rebind and custom key bindings.

If that doesn't work try this fix:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aD6j3xTH-vg&index=75&list=WL

  • Hello! @CloneTrooperCT

First of all see if you´re Driver is properly installed.

    Run Origin as Administrator:
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin and right click on Origin.exe and go to Properties. Then go to Compatibility tab and check the box next to Run as Admin.

I would also highly recommend you to try doing a Clean Boot:
    http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

Are you running the latest driver version for your GPU? If not, install it:
    For nVidia graphics cards: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
    For AMD graphics cards: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

If you already have the latest driver version for your GPU installed, unistall the driver and re-install it.

Also, when you have a problem, a Dxdiag is always helpful :D

    Hepful? :D

Ok, but try to unistall the driver and re-instal it. Please do check if the driver is well installed in its slot

  • I had a similar problem with FC24 and removing the folder in the "My Documents" folder fixed the problem.
