I haven't played this game in ages and tried to get back into it the other day but keep getting the DirectX Error crash: DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG.
I have completely erased and reinstalled GPU drivers aswell as Geforce experience, reinstalled BF4, Disabled origin overlay, ran sfc checker and reinstalled direct X from BF4 folder.
Laptop specs:
- 2 x NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M (SLI) 2 GB
- Intel Core i7 4th Gen 4700MQ (2.40 GHz)
- 12 GB Memory 1TB + 24GB SSHD HDD
- Wiindows 10 with latest updates
The game is played on a TV via hdmi
any solutions?
This solution worked for me when I experienced this error: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aD6j3xTH-vg&index=96&t=63s&list=WL
Hello Ragnarok013,
I tried the clean boot with no success and my gpu is already at factory speeds.
This is too bad as the game used to run pretty good on this setup.

Hey @computeman, if you turn off SLI and then try to start the game up, does the same thing happen to you?

Hello EA_Atic,
I just tried turning off SLI and trying a game but the same direct x error happens. The game loads up fine but shortly after starting a game the error happens which crashes the game.

Hey @computeman, okay lets see what we can do.
Clean boot is done, disabled origin overlay, ran sfc checker and reinstalled direct X, reinstalling GPU drivers and you have tried in non SLI mode did miss anything?
Try CCleaner and run Origin and BF4 as Admin.
When you try battlellog and starting the game up, same issue?
