Doesn't work. That is already the applied setting anyways. Also that wouldn't make any sense...

My system is;
965BE
HD6970 2GB
8 GB ram
I can play for hours on Vista with little trouble, except of course when the server crashes. There is no memory leak or DirectX error. Like for most everyone, the Beta ran pretty horribly and I thought for sure my PC had to be replaced or at minimum get a better video card AND install Windows 7. However, once the final release came out, the game ran very well on my old clunker and even looked nice.
Prior to the official release, I installed Windows 8 Enterprise (Win Blue) evaluation. The game ran really well after the official release, but then came the Dx and memory leak problems. Like everyone else, I tried many things to fix it. After the AMD beta8 drivers came out, the Dx error seemed to have stopped, but the mem leak continues. Good thing I can dual boot to Vista still 🙂
Here's the thing: AMD stopped supporting Vista months ago so I'm running on obsolete drivers from April(?), yet the game runs pretty darn good and doesn't have Dx or mem leak problems. The graphics quality isn't as good, but no crashes. Go figure.
The next puzzle is my son's HP DV6 laptop with i7 and 650m only has 6GB ram, but seems to run ok. No mem leak AFAIK or Dx crash. Figure that one out.
I rarely have any issues (if ever) playing BF3 with Vista, and was surprised to see so many people having problems are/were (?) in Win 7. In over 17 years playing online, having issues with a new release is nothing new, but the Dx and memory leak errors appear to be more serious than other games over the years.
QUESTION: does anyone know people that play BF4 without problems? If so, what system build are they using (CPU, mobo, video card etc.)?
