dlc not working for steam premium edition
Tried playing the Steam premium edition of BF4 and it all works okay apart from the DLCs.
When I try to play any of the DLC game-modes like night operations or try to access one of the DLC maps it says I need to install it. When I click the 'get expansions' button it just takes me to the page where it says I own everything.
I checked to see if I have the DLCs installed on Steam and then also checked on the Origin client and they both say that the dlcs are installed.
I reinstalled all the DLCs and nothing changed and then I reinstalled the entire game and, yet again, nothing changed. I've tried verifying the integrity of the game files using the Steam client like suggested in one of the Answers HQ posts but this also didn't work. I'm at a loss for what to do to get the DLCs to work in this game.

I didn't realise I had to go into the Steam store and add the free DLCs (Legacy, Night and Community) to my account.
I assumed they were already added once I downloaded the game but this was not the case and it is my fault for not checking this.
