doughboy m1911 code not recognized by website

I recently purchased the collectors edition new from amazon and the code for the m1911 is not working. I contacted EA customer support and they gave me a different skin and im not sure if they are able to simply add it to my game, as it requires a download process and a separate xbox live code which is supposed to be gained from the original code I received.

please help, as no matter how many times I try the code on the website, it still will not work.

Hey everyone,

if you are struggling to enter the code and get one for your desired platform:

This has been reported and is being investigated.

In the meantime,

- If you play on PC you can just go ahead and redeem the code in Origin, this will work fine.

- If you play on console please do not redeem the code in Origin. An EA Advisor should be able to issue a replacement code for your respective console.

I had the same problem. The EA support guy (no joke his name was Rommel) he suggested for Origin players, don't go the the hyperlink, just post the code in Origin's "Activate a product code." The first two times they tried to add it manually to my account, to no avail. But i just entered in the code into Origin, and it was confirmed.

If you redeemed the code for the wrong platform accidentally, please do reach out to an EA Advisor who should be able to provide you with a replacement code for your console.
