Dx12 problems in Battlefield 1

Hello,

I'm experiencing unplayable gameplay running Bf1 on Dx12.

On Dx11 everything works fine, processor usage and gpu usage are normal and gameplay i stutter free.

I'm playing with Rx480 and i5 6600 with 16Gb of ram.

When toggling Dx12 On, i can see that my CPU usage spikes up to 99% while GPU stays in low 30-40(%) using 6.5Gb of VRAM.

My framerate in Dx11 is 100-120, meanwhile in Dx12 im barelly holding on to 60 FPS.

Please answear ty.

Senta

Im sorry, didn't include dxdiag i nthe previous message. I was wondering, because after buying a Dx12 ready high end graphics card I could use it in the new bf1. I see other people reporting the game not owrking properly with Dx12. Only solution is to wait for new drivers from AMD? Also, im running the newest drivers, always.

I have origin in game disabled and have tested that after every AMD driver update.

  • AMD FURY card here and even with latest 17.7.2 drivers DX12 still has lags , stutters , cpu spikes and feels so much worse than dx11 . Nothing seems to fix it and 1000's of others are having the same problems.

  • DX12 is a little odd currently, for some people it works fine and for others it causes terrible framedrops and stuttering - ultimately you would have an easier time sticking with DX11 since it performs better without any graphical difference between the two.

  • Hello SentaTheBoss,

Sorry to hear about the Issue you are having with DX12.

Sometimes DX12 causes issues with the game, due to being new Tech.

If DX11 works better for you, I suggest using that, since there isn't really a big difference between DX11 and DX12.

Hope you're able to get this fixed.

    Thanks.
