Dynamic Day/Night Servers Based on Actual Time

Maybe it's too late for BF1 but perhaps down the line for other Battlefield games, I think it would be a good idea for some servers to have a dynamic day/night cycle that changes based on the server's location. So, if it's a "US East" server and it's dusk there, then the sun should set on any map played there; if it's night time, then that map gets played at night. This effectively means that Night Operations automatically come with all maps. You could still have static time servers if some maps are best played at night. But at least in BF1, night maps such as Prise de Tahure are very much enjoyable with the sun up IMHO.

Just my 2 cents.

Some servers could be set to +12 hours. So, you get half the servers on local server time, and the other half of the servers would be as if they were on the other side of the world.

  • I generally play at the same time of day. It'd be kind of annoying missing out on day/night effects because of this. The only way round it would be to join a server on the other side of the world and run with a rubbish ping.

A changing day/night cycle could be cool but there doesn't seem to be any need for it to match with server location to me.

To be honest, i think that wouldn't be so good.

If people always play on the servers in their Region cause of the best Ping they can get.
And if they basically play on the evening or night, then they would always have the same Night feeling, which they might don't want.

Because some people maybe don't have the time to play at the middle of their day. (Family, Work, ect.)
