EA app 13.796: Battlelog launch of Steam BF3 times out

EA app 13.796.0.6309, BF3 Steam version (app 1238820, offer DR:224766400). Battlelog server joins (requestSource EALocalHostSvc) enter proxiedLaunchGame without redirecting to Steam, so no EASteamLauncher is running to receive LaunchGameInfo; launch times out with ProxiedLaunchTimedOut, processId 0. A launcher started via steam://run during the wait sits in WaitingForLaunchGameInfo and shuts down on the timeout. Client-initiated launches do redirect via steam://run/1238820//. Previous client 13.686 Link2EA asserted on the new steam2ea:// URL at update time.

    Tried.

    P.S. EA App version works fine, I switched to this version temporary. I also tried to put EA App game folder to Steam. It works but without Steam overlay and "now playing" status. Possibly this issue happens to everyone who bought bf3 two times: one from Origin, one from Steam.

    I have the same timeout issue. I tried ~5 browsers xD

    Fighting with it for several days.

    I am assuming that you are asking a question.

    A google search suggested that you switch to Microsoft Edge as your browser.
