EA Help said my BF2142/BF2 Collection physical CD keys are invalid

Hi,

(

This is similar to other EA Classic-cdkey-Origin issues, I've tried asking EA Help as other posts said, but they keep on saying my CD keys are invalid(?) I don't understand, aren't they *supposed* to be invalid which is why we are asking EA Help to bypass Origin's inability to recognize the old keys? Or is my support just verifying my keys in to Origin as well lol?

Asking for help as I've run out of options (even EA Help couldn't for some reason find a way to enter my games).......

    @SchattenOpa @Lunfangz

    EA Advisor and their support can change over the years. If the key has become too old to support or give additional assistance with, then we would be unable to suggest a workaround to get them redeemed to your EA Account.

    @Lunfangz Older titles like Battlefield 2, retail copies will contain product codes that cannot be redeemed via Origin directly, due to their age. To confirm have you already been able to speak with an EA Advisor?

    Hi Illium,

    The people at EA Help Support Chat, they're the ones, right? Yup! I did chat to a couple, they seem so confused with my keys, the last one kept telling me, he couldn't help me cuz my keys are "invalid" and like... yeah... that's it... "we can't help you because your keys are invalid, please provide the correct keys." What am I supposed to do now O_O...
    I posted here cuz I found I have the same experience (in the post I linked above) a person that said;

    "Hi,

    I have the same problem as SOBR.

    BF2 hard copy, but won't work with origin. Then read this thread. Took the advice and used EA support chat.

    Gave them the key.

    She said that since I have used the game in 2006 (year of purchase), then there is nothing she can do."

    I have 3 keys for BF2 Collection, and 1 key for 2142 Deluxe Edition. They're all in the cd boxes, both around ~2010. None of them are valid Support chat said

  • I had the same issue today,

    I talked to the support chat and was told that there was nothing they could do because the keys were too old to add them to Origin.

    @SchattenOpa  @Lunfangz

    It is possible to redeem them on Origin. However, only an advisor is able to do so and some might not be kind enough to grant them to you. I got lucky and chatted with one that was kind enough to redeem them for me.

    I'd recommend finding a few threads here and using it to support your point.

    Hope it helps,

    L
