Battlefield 1 is randomly closing with no error message, and after extensive troubleshooting I have strong evidence that EA Javelin AntiCheat is involved.
The game can stay open for anywhere from roughly 1–6+ minutes and then simply closes to desktop. There is no freeze, no DirectX error, no performance degradation and no crash dialog. It can happen while playing, browsing the menus, or while doing absolutely nothing in the main menu.
I have been troubleshooting this extensively and found a very consistent pattern in Windows Event Viewer.
Every time BF1 closes, EA Javelin Anticheat generates Event ID 1000 immediately before the EAAntiCheat service terminates.
On my latest test:
01:50:23 — EAAntiCheat filter loads successfully
File System Filter 'EAAntiCheat' (10.0) has successfully loaded and registered with Filter Manager.
01:56:26 — EA Javelin Anticheat, Event ID 1000
Raw EventData extracted through PowerShell:
ExitType: 0xB3829EB7DE50BDB7 (0x56EAB201BB8DD6D9)
01:56:28 — EAAntiCheat terminates
The EAAntiCheatService service terminated with the following error: %%4294950327
Querying the service immediately afterward gives:
STATE: STOPPED
WIN32_EXIT_CODE: 4294950327 (0xFFFFBDB7)
At essentially the same time, Windows Filter Manager reports:
File System Filter 'EAAntiCheat' (...) unloaded successfully.

The problem still occurs.
I also attempted to diagnose the shutdown using Microsoft Process Monitor. Interestingly, Javelin explicitly detected Process Monitor and displayed:
“Security Violation — This software cannot be used at the same time as the game.”
That test obviously cannot be used to diagnose the original crash because Process Monitor itself triggers Javelin's protection, but it demonstrates that Javelin is capable of intentionally terminating/blocking the game when it detects software it considers incompatible.
I am not claiming that the normal crashes are necessarily caused by software detection, because unlike the Process Monitor test, the normal crashes display no Security Violation message. It could also be an internal Javelin failure.
What I would really appreciate from EA/Javelin developers or someone familiar with these internal codes is an explanation of:
What does this Javelin ExitType mean?
0xB3829EB7DE50BDB7 (0x56EAB201BB8DD6D9)
And what does the subsequent service exit code mean?
0xFFFFBDB7 / 4294950327
At this point I have eliminated most conventional troubleshooting possibilities. Without knowing what Javelin is reporting through this ExitType, I have no meaningful way to determine what it dislikes or why it is terminating.
If an EA employee sees this, please escalate this beyond the standard reinstall/repair troubleshooting steps. I am happy to provide Event Viewer XML, system information, logs, driver lists or any other diagnostic information that could help identify the cause.
