EA Play needed for purchased games?
I bought Battlefield 4 a few weeks ago when it was on sale. Now it says I need EA Play in order to launch the game. Is this an issue or do I need EA Play to play games I've bought?

I understood almost everything you said but can you mabye make it more clear to me in the specific situation i am into right now? There is a sale in steam where i can get battlefield 4 premium edition with 5 euros. If i buy this do i have to pay for ea play too or i can play the game just like that? If i dont have to pay for ea play just tell me so but if i have to pay for it then let me know if you know any way i can play it without ea play subscription. Thank you very much!
I am also confused by this issue. Why buy any EA games at all, discount or not, if I can access them via an EA play subscription?
