ea wallet not showing?

i redeemed 2 cash cards of 20$ but they are not showing in my account, i was wondering if you could let me know if the wallet was indeed added, i assume it doesnt show because i am trying to use it on mexico so i was also wondering if i would be able to buy the game(implying the 40$ balance shows) if i tried to use my account in the united states, i live in a border town so i actually go almost daily to the usa.
