I only have the vc2008sp1 file, not the 2012 one

I had the same problem and all I did was uninstall all VC++ runtime packages and then install them all over again, from 2005 to the 2013 packages.
You can get them from http://www.microsoft.com/
Hope this helps!
Kind Regards

I have the same problem but there is no C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Origin Games \ Battlefield 4
How? - Anonymous11 years ago
run as adminastor is not working
@EA_Barry wrote:- Head to the Battlefield 4 installation folder, C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4 by default, then find the _Installer folder.
- In _Installer, navigate into the VC folder, then into vc2012Update3, and finally redist.
- In redist, find both the x86 and x64 versions of VCredist.exe.
- Run and install both versions, and your game should now launch without error.
- This is happening when I try and install The Sims 4 Create-A-Sim Demo. Do I need to do the same thing?

Ok, it took me 1,5 days but I fixed it. 🙂
The final solution was to uninstall "Security Update for Windows 7 for x64bit systems KB2918614".I tried many different solutions which might also be helpful for you. I found them googleing the error codes that I got when trying to install vcredist manually:
"Error 1359. An internal error occurred" and "0x80070643". The following solutions might also be helpful for you. May be it was a combination of all these that finally fixed my problem:
