All my other games run 100 - 120 fps on ultra and battlefield 1 is getting around 10 fps on the main menu, briefly goes to 60 fps on loading screen etc... that is on any of the graphics settings! (very low - ultra). There defiantly isn't any thermo throttling as temps of very low as if are under no load? It seems like my gpu isn't being used at all temps stay on 23c which on other high demanding games goes up to around 70c... and cpu usage is only on 10%.things i have tried from reading other threads that have not worked for me:-install new windows update (1087? or similar)-checked and installed all drivers-using "geforce experience" to access and setting up battlefield 1's graphics setting (also tried with their recommended settings to no avail).could be something to do with directx? checked my current version which is directx 12could be something to do with my ultra wide display? the res is 3440 x 1440 @ 120hz

Have you tried just uninstalling Battlefield 1 and re-installing it? Also maybe uninstalling Origin and re-installing it might work as well! Come back and tell us how this goes and with any other questions you might have!

hey guys thanks for possible solutions, i have uninstall battlefield 1 and now re-downloading which still has another 12 hours to go, so i will get back to you guys to see if any of the above actions are successful. thanks

*UPDATE* i still have extremely low frame rates
-i have re-installed battlefield 1
-disabled origin in game overlay
-tried running a clean boot to try and isolate the problem
-did a clean install with DDU, of graphics driver/s (tried twice actually, once withasus website for my strix version of the gtx 1080 -driver 390.56, and again with link from official geforce website -driver 397.93)
-resetting
game settings Documents (My Documents)>>Battlefield 1>>Settings folder>> Delete PROFSAVE_profile file.
only thing left to do is re-install origin but im reluctant to do that as i will probably have to re-install/re-download bf1 which is massive! and i doupt origin application is the cause of my problems.
after all my attempts funny enough all my other games still work flawlessly on ultra settings with 100+ fps

Can you attach your dxdiag to this thread?

Does it happen if you run the game on all low settings in a 1080p window?

It is probable that your machine is defaulting to your Intel video processing on your CPU rather than your NVIDIA GPU.

Open the nvidia Control Panel

Click Manage 3D settings

Click the Program Settings tab

Click the Add button

Select the game from the list or click browse and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 1\bf1.exe

Select bf1.exe and then Open

Customise individual settings if you like

Exit nvidia control panel and try playing.

hey thanks for the reply.
i would have though doing a re-install of nvidia driver using UDD would have uninstalled any other graphics drivers... but seems it still has intel graphics linked to cpu.
It wont open nvidia control panel, its saying "you are not using a display attached to an NVIDIA GPU".
can i disable the intel(R) Graphics 630? i worried that if i do i could loose all display
