Extremely ridiculous performance issues

Hi, I just installed battlefield 4 today, and i'm getting some very... interesting... Performance issues going on here...

Upon starting the game, after the first cutscene, I'm running at maybe 0.5 fps, as in literally almost frozen, and i'm thinking this is definitely not a hardware issue, as i've also tried on the lowest settings/lower resolution/ windowed mode, etc... with the same results.

Rig:

GTX 770 4g

AMD FX-8320 8 core processor

16g ram

windows 7 64 bit

I've made sure im using the Battlefield 4 (x64 bit) shortcut, and as far as I know, my rig should definitely be able to run this, especially on low settings and definitely get higher than half a frame per second regarless of my hardware lol... I'm not seeing this issue elsewhere on the internet and i'm not quite sure how to fix it, though i'm sure it's something ridiculously simple, as usual.

I also noticed that it runs perfectly smooth as it's about to close after i ctrl-alt-del and terminate it, while it's still up for the last few seconds before closing, not sure if that helps.

Seems like maybe a memmory leek, or that it's utilizing my cpu chipsets rather than my gpu for some odd reason.

PS- I'm not particularly good a problem solving, so if you know for a fact that it is a memmory leek or some other problem, don't just say that, because i don't know how to fix it regardless of what you tell me it is lol...

Alright, i completely reinstalled my graphics drivers and reinstalled .NET 4.5, now running on ultra settings absolutely no problems, 50+ fps. Hope doing the same will work for all of you!

Same problem here, my specs are:

    Intel core i7-4700MQ 2.40/2.40
    8 gb ram
    Geforce Gtx 765m

Im having fps problems all the time, even in low settings, looks like its around 5fps. can play other games like the witche 2, borderlands 2, or deadspace 3 on high settings without problems. Also something weird is that geforce exp will optimize the game with all setting on low........

I know man, singleplayer is also laggy as hell. Only when I look at the sky or the ground the fps is normal...

DICE needs to sort their **bleep** out.

Just to let you know I'm having the EXACT same problem as you guys. Difference is I was still within the 24 hours purchase so I got it refunded. I want this game, I want to play it - but until its in a playable state, £55 can be better spent elsewhere! I've heard that the main problem is Windows 7 - the fact that they've optimised the game for 8 and basically haven't for 7. Supposedly they're trying to focus on fixing NET code - they shouldn't! THEY SHOULD OPTIMISE IT SO WE DON'T GET 5 FPS!!! Gah!!!
